Here at Leeds Building Society we are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit team and lead on audits across many of our different business areas.

About the role
As a Senior Auditor you'll provide an independent, third line of defence, internal audit assurance service to management and the Board. You will join a highly motivated team of internal auditors with substantial experience in the profession within financial services. We have a strong profile within the business, built on regular relationship management which is a key strength for all members of our team. We work in a collaborative way supporting the business, to ensure that we deliver an excellent and value driven service, whilst maintaining independence.
For this role we are looking for someone who can lead and deliver audits through the full lifecycle from planning to reporting, as well as providing coaching and support to other auditors in the team. You will need to be enthusiastic about continuous improvement, able to identify areas for improvement and have the drive to lead on projects to deliver them. Having great time management skills and being able to effectively prioritise multiple demands will be key to this role. You will have the opportunity to work across the Society and broaden your skills as you work with many of our different business areas.
What will you bring to the role?
- Breadth of experience in Internal Audit or relevant risk management / business discipline.
- Holds a relevant Professional Qualification.
- Experience of working in a Financial Services setting.
- Knowledge and application of data interrogation tools
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Stakeholder management
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills
