Platform Manager - Core Systems (3806)
£75,324 including car allowance
Under a new technology leadership team we are looking to improve maturity across all capabilities to help grow and thrive into the future. At the heart of that goal is the need to embark on transformational change to deliver a step change across our systems, culture and ways of working to support the strategic aspirations of the Society. To help with our mission, we are looking for an exceptional, experienced and transformative Platform Manager to lead the operational management and change delivery for our Core systems. This role has significant responsibility and reports into our Head of Tech, Mortgages and Core.
What are the key accountabilities for this role?
- Operational management of our Core services ensuring secure, performant, resilient and cost effective delivery including adherence to internal and external governance standards
- Delivery of change - including critical projects, incremental and regulatory change
- Working closely with our Architecture team and other key internal and external stakeholders, delivery of the Society's strategic roadmap for Core systems
- Supplier management for the Society's primary Core external partner in the delivery of changes, upgrades, service improvement and release management. Managing performance of the supplier in line with contractual and service agreements
We are looking for a credible leader with the following skills:
- Successful track record for building effective partnerships with external suppliers at scale and an ability to collaboratively agree best practise and deliver value for money
- Previous experience of vendor selection and comparative evaluation
- Tech background and detailed knowledge and understanding of Core financial systems
- Ability to lead both office based and remote internal and external teams, with a servant leader mindset
- Experience of delivering critical IT platform change at pace whilst effectively managing risks and operational performance
- Ability to positively influence internal and external senior stakeholders and can formulate written reports at Board level
