About the role
This is a newly created role within our Financial Planning division to lead the management, analysis and control of the Society's overall cost base and transformation spend. This is your opportunity to make a real difference by driving commercial insight and a disciplined approach to cost optimisation and investment decisions by understanding and keeping abreast of developments within the Society, the financial services sector and other organisations.
You will business partner the Chief Operating Officer, providing insight, challenge and analytical support for divisional strategic initiatives, including technology transformation. You will also lead the Finance Business Partner and Costs teams to ensure a first-class experience, enabling senior leaders to make informed commercial decisions, manage their expense budgets and drive agreed efficiency savings.
What will you bring to the role?
We're looking for a qualified accountant, with:
- A comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry & technology, with an intuitive understanding of economic principles
- Experience at a senior level in the Financial Services sector
- The ability to contribute innovative ideas to improve the performance of the Society's cost base.
- The ability to manage and motivate colleagues at all levels
- The ability to communicate and influence at all levels
