About the role
We are currently looking to recruit an IT Security Engineer who is passionate about designing and implementing IT security systems.
You will be part of a small team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Society's security infrastructure, monitoring for security events, and responding accordingly. You will help design, implement, monitor and support our IT security systems, often working on complex issues. You will work on a mix of BAU and project-based work including multiple Azure related security projects, general automation projects and ensuring new applications are deployed securely. This is an exciting time to be joining the Society as we embark on large scale transformation and IT maturity.
As well as being ‘hands on' our IT Security Engineer will be seen as a ‘trusted advisor' on our IT security systems.
What will you bring to the role?
- You will have strong experience in a similar IT Security Engineer role in a medium/large company involving a broad range of tech including some of the following:
- Strong knowledge & understanding of security principles surrounding SIEM, Antivirus, DLP, Firewalls, Open Source Filtering tools, Cloud security (Azure), IdAM (PAM on-prem/cloud), EDR, Scanning/vulnerability tools, etc.
- Windows Server & Networking
- Design of secure networks
- Incident response (including forensic analysis of malicious code).
- Endpoint and network security technologies
- Recognised IT or Information Security qualifications including CISSP, CISM, Cisco, SANS, ISO27001, CCSP, CISA, or SSCP desirable
- Relevant degree qualification desirable but not essential.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
