About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new high-profile programme to help shape a Data Migration strategy for a new core banking savings & mortgage platform for the society. You'll be joining the team at the early stages of the programme and will add real value to our Data Migration strategy.

We are currently looking to recruit a Data Migration Specialist for this major complex transformation programme which is at the heart of what we do. You will take a Lead role in the data profiling/analysis and documentation of source system data. Through data analysis and experience, you will support the project and business stakeholders in the definition of the migration strategy and approach plus identification of risks.

You will also be significantly involved with data mapping and migration into our new core banking platform and advise on what tools should be deployed.

What will you bring to the role?

We are looking for an experienced Data Migration Specialist who is looking for a new challenge and opportunity to grow their career.

Extensive experience of data profiling/analysis.

Experience of presenting analysis output to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders to inform migration strategies

An understanding of ETL principles and tools for the purposes of data migration

An appreciation of different migration approaches (big bang, product split, customer split etc)

Proven ability to understand and work with a wide variety of physical data models and database platforms

Good interpersonal & communication skills

Experience of working with multiple stakeholders
