BI Test Analyst (4802)

Are you an experienced BI Tester or Junior BI Tester looking for a move into a data driven, rapidly growing and transforming business?  Do you have experience of testing data warehouses, including ETL, data modelling / presentation and reporting?

Do you have SQL and relational database knowledge?

If so, we have an opportunity to join part of a brand new team build as a BI Test Analyst.  Whilst this is a new team, you will join part of an established wider team, and have the opportunity for some incredible training, development and exposure to niche tech.

What do we offer you?

We have a hybrid working model, where you can work 60% from home, with the rest of your time being flexibly based at our brand new, sustainable head office in Leeds city centre, just 5 minutes' walk from the train station.

We offer a competitive rewards package including:

  • A generous colleague bonus of up to 12%
  • Matched pension contributions up to 8%
  • 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays, plus holiday purchase scheme
  • Development opportunities
  • Volunteering days

Our friendly, supportive culture will help you be the best you can be — now and in the future.

About the role:

  • You will perform end to end testing of BI solutions by designing, creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • You will ensure the quality and reliability of business intelligence solutions through the application and use of appropriate test procedures, acting as the key member of the BI Team responsible for creating and executing tests in the society's data warehouse.
  • You will be supporting the BI Delivery & Reporting Lead in defining and implementing the BI Team's overall test strategy.
  • You will be responsible for the verification and quality at output of data at all stages of the development lifecycle within the society's data warehouse.
  • You will work collaboratively with analysts/developers to identify and resolve defects in a timely and accurate manner.

What will I bring to the role?

You will have a technical mindset with strong testing capability and experience of using SQL and database analysis.  If you have experience of using SAP BI applications (BI 4.2, BODS, IDT, HANA) it would be advantageous.

You will need a systematic and analytical approach with strong planning, organisation and time management skills.

As you will be working with senior stakeholders across the business as well as other teams and colleagues, you will need excellent communication and relationship building skills.
