BI Database Administrator (Oracle/ Microsoft / SAP Hana) (4825)
Do you have performance and tuning, backup and recovery experience in a DBA role? Do you have strong Oracle or Microsoft DBA experience (we can train you on SAP Hana!)
Do you want to be an instrumental part in achieving our Data Strategy and Core Systems migration?
If so, we have an opportunity to join part of a brand new team build as a SAP HANA Database Administrator.
Whilst this is a new team, you will join part of an established wider team, and have the opportunity for some incredible training, development and exposure to niche tech.

About the role:
- You will be responsible for the daily running, monitoring and administration of all the society's SAP HANA database systems (development, testing & production usage)
- We will expand the usage of SAP HANA across the society, and you will ensure all services are secure
- You will maintain SAP's quarterly patching schedule
- You will be required to provide out of hours support (on a rota basis as required).
- Plan and implement new versions and upgrades of software and data changes to live/test environments in liaison with colleagues and in line with Society procedures.
What will I bring to the role?
- Proven experience of Database Administration (e.g. performance and tuning, backup and recovery) in a DBA role essential, SAP HANA advantageous.
- Practical experience of database security management.
- Planning and execution of upgrades and patches.
- Proven track record of delivering a high availability service, including monitoring and tuning, within a team environment.
- SQL, SQL Script experience would be advantageous as would knowledge of SAP HANA Studio & SAP HANA Cockpit advantageous
