It's a purpose that drives everything we do. And you can play your part too - join us as a Financial Planning Manager on a 12 month maternity cover contract.
How you'll make a difference
You'll lead the production and reporting of our Corporate Plan and regular financial forecasts, helping senior decision makers understand the Society's expected financial performance.
You'll co-ordinate the forecasting timetable, maintain accurate planning models, review and challenge assumptions, analyse outputs and produce clear, insightful reporting for working groups, senior management and the Board. You'll also provide financial analysis, drive process improvements and coach junior colleagues.
What will you bring to the role?

- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong commercial understanding of a building society's business model and markets, and how these translate into financial performance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial audiences and produce insightful reports
- A strong control mindset, with the ability to maintain accuracy and effective controls through complex, time-pressured processes
- Excellent relationship-building and coordination skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, reach solutions on complex issues and embrace change
And in return, you'll get the best from us:
- Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office
- Annual bonus of up to 12%
- Matched pension contributions up to 10%
- 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays and holiday purchase scheme
- Colleague Mortgage and Saver products
- 2 days' volunteering per year
We'll give you a place to belong with the support to learn, develop and shape a meaningful career.
