How you'll make a difference  

You will lead activities within Group Risk oversight across the entire end-to-end Credit Risk lifecycle, providing independent challenge to first-line solutions and ensuring that credit risk remains within appetite. You will also provide the Head of Credit Risk Oversight, CRO & committees / working groups with insights on 1^st Line activity, change proposals, portfolio and emerging risks. This is an exiting opportunity to support the Society to deliver their Purpose.

What will you bring to the role?

• Relevant experience in financial services, preferably mortgages
• Detailed knowledge of the Credit Risk life cycle
• Detailed knowledge of mortgage products and servicing
• Ability to work on project type activities
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to draw insight from data
• Broad knowledge of the financial services industry
• Good understanding of applicable regulations within the mortgage market
• Independent minded   and   able   to   challenge   constructively   and professionally at management level.
• Professional qualification or experience in Credit Risk Management
