How you'll make a difference  

You will lead activities within Group Risk oversight across the entire end-to-end Credit Risk lifecycle, providing independent challenge to first-line solutions and ensuring that credit risk remains within appetite. You will also provide the Head of Credit Risk Oversight, CRO & committees / working groups with insights on 1st Line activity, change proposals, portfolio and emerging risks. This is an exiting opportunity to support the Society to deliver their Purpose.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Relevant experience in financial services, preferably mortgages
  • Detailed knowledge of the Credit Risk life cycle
  • Detailed knowledge of mortgage products and servicing
  • Ability to work on project type activities
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to draw insight from data
  • Broad knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Good understanding of applicable regulations within the mortgage market
  • Independent minded   and   able   to   challenge   constructively   and professionally at management level.
  • Professional qualification or experience in Credit Risk Management
