How you'll help us live our purpose

We've been helping our members save for their future and buy a home of their own since 1875. By joining us, you'll play a big role in helping us to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.

It's a purpose that drives everything we do and one we're proud of.  As a Planning Optimisation Analyst, you'll play a key role in helping us deliver for our members and colleagues by ensuring we have the right resources in place to meet customer demand across our Customer Division. Role can be based at either our Leeds head office or Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Cobalt Business Park on a hybrid basis.

How you'll make a difference

Our Planning Optimisation Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining workload volume forecasts and modelling colleague resource requirements across customer-facing teams. This includes analysing volumes such as new mortgage and savings account openings and translating insights into practical, actionable workforce resource plans.

You'll work closely with key stakeholders across the business and make full use of our workforce management tools. Your forecasts will inform hiring strategies and workforce decisions, ensuring we're well positioned to meet changing business demands while continuing to deliver a great customer experience.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Experience of working in a Resource Planning function in a front office or back office environment
  • Exposure to Work Force Management solutions (preferably Calabrio)
  • Proven analytical skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency.
  • Confident communicator and experienced with senior stakeholder engagement/presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and at pace, staying calm and adaptable as priorities shift.

And in return, you'll get the best from us:

  • An annual colleague bonus of up to 12%
  • Hybrid working with 60% of your time at home
  • Matched pension contributions of up to 10%
  • 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays and holiday purchase scheme of up to 5 days each year
  • Colleague Mortgage and Saver products
  • Electric vehicle scheme
  • 2 days' volunteering per year

We'll give you a place to belong with the support to learn, develop and shape a meaningful career.

Why choose us?

Our business is centred around our people. Our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do, as shown by our Inclusive Employers Gold accreditation in 2023 and 2025. We're committed to equal opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability or gender identity.

You'll be joining a truly purpose-focused culture which helped us win the Leading with Purpose award at the 2023 Business Culture Awards. This recognises how we've embedded our purpose with our colleagues, and the actions we've taken to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.
